NPCIL Steno, Assistant Selection Process:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Selection Procedure of the Exam will be as follows: Written Exam, Skill Test<\/p>\n

NPCIL Selection Process for Steno Assistant Posts:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Stage-1- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)<\/p>\n

Stage-2- Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration)<\/p>\n

  1. It will be a screening examination to be held to shortlist candidates. The format of the screening examination shall be common for all the non-technical cadres. In keeping with the minimum educational qualification of graduation as per the Recruitment Norms, the questions will be of Graduation level.<\/li>\n
  2. Examination will consist 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n
    1<\/td>\nGeneral Knowledge & Current Affairs<\/td>\n25 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    2<\/td>\nComputer Knowledge<\/td>\n15 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    3<\/td>\nEnglish<\/td>\n10 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    1. The Test will be of 01 (one) hour duration for a maximum 150 marks.<\/li>\n
    2. 03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.<\/li>\n
    3. Tests may be conducted in single\/multiple sessions depending upon logistics requirements. 6. Qualifying Standards: The qualifying standards shall be as follows: General Category (UR) \u2013 40% marks; .SC\/ ST\/OBC\/ PWBD \u2013 30% marks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Accordingly, the General Candidates < 40% marks and the candidates belonging to SC\/ST\/OBC\/PWBD with < 30% marks will be screened out for Stage-2.<\/p>\n

      Stage-2 \u2013Advanced Test<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test.<\/li>\n
      2. The Test will be of 02 (two) hours duration for a maximum of 150 marks.<\/li>\n
      3. The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) from the following syllabus:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Quantitative Aptitude 25 Questions<\/p>\n

        Critical Reasoning 25 Questions<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. 03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.<\/li>\n
        2. Qualifying Standards: The qualifying standards shall be as follows: General Category (UR) \u2013 30%; SC\/ST\/OBC\/PWBD \u2013 20% marks<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Accordingly, the General Candidates < 30% marks and the candidates belonging to SC\/ST\/OBC\/PWBD with < 20% marks will be screened out for Stage-3<\/p>\n

          In the event of a tie, following criteria shall be adopted in sequence for deciding position in merit list:<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Candidates with lower negative marks in Stage-2 to be placed higher on the merit list.<\/li>\n
          2. Candidates with higher marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.<\/li>\n
          3. Candidates with lower negative marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.<\/li>\n
          4. Date of birth of the candidates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Candidates to undertake the Preliminary and Advance Test on the same day. Preliminary Test will be carried out in the morning session and the advance test for candidates screened in for Stage-2 to be carried out in the afternoon\/evening session<\/p>\n

            Stage-3: Skill Test<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, Candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.<\/li>\n
            2. The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage-2 but shall not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies for each post.<\/li>\n
            3. Skill test for Assistant Grade-1<\/li>\n
            4. Typewriting Test on Personal Computer (PC); and<\/li>\n
            5. Computer Proficiency Test<\/li>\n
            6. Skill test for Steno Grade-1<\/li>\n
            7. i) Stenography Test<\/li>\n
            8. ii) Typewriting Test on Personal Computer (PC);and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              iii) Computer Proficiency Test<\/p>\n

              The Skill tests will be of qualifying nature only on GO\/No Go basis.<\/p>\n

              1. Candidates clearing the Skill Test to be shortlisted and empanelled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                NPCIL Selection Process for Paramedical Posts:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

                The Written Examination will be in two stages<\/p>\n

                Stage-1- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)<\/p>\n

                Stage-2- Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration)<\/p>\n

                Stage-1 \u2013 Preliminary Test: It will be a screening examination to be held to shortlist candidates. The format of screening examination shall be common and will be in following format:<\/p>\n

                Examination will comprise 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
                1<\/td>\nMathematics<\/td>\n20 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                2<\/td>\nScience<\/td>\n20 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                3<\/td>\nGeneral Awareness<\/td>\n10 Questions<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

                03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.<\/p>\n

                3. The level of questions will be related to their qualifying academic \/ professional \/ technical qualification.<\/li>\n
                4. The Test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.<\/li>\n
                5. Qualifying Standards: The qualifying standards shall be as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Accordingly, the General Candidates <30% marks and the candidates belonging to SC\/ST\/OBC\/PWBD with <20% marks will be screened out for Stage-3.<\/p>\n
