TNSET Assistant Professor Selection Procedure/Scheme:
The Selection Procedure/Scheme of the Exam will be as follows: Written Exam (Paper-I, Paper-II, & Paper-III)
Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test Assistant Professor Exam:
- i) The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions/ MCQs and will be held on 04.03.2018 (Sunday) in three separate sessions as follows:

Exam Pattern for TNSET Assistant Professor Posts:
Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the Candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the Candidate. 50 (fifty) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each Question will carry 2 Marks.
Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the Candidate.
Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the Candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Provisions For Persons With Disability (PwD):
- Twenty five minutes compensatory time shall be provided for Paper -I and Paper – II separately. For paper – III, fifty minutes compensatory time shall be provided. These Candidates, on their request, will also be provided the services of a Scribe who would be a graduate in a subject other than that of the Candidate.
- The Persons with Disability (PwD – Physically Challenged) candidates who are not in a position to write in their own hand-writing can also avail the services of Scribe by making prior request (at least one week before the date of TNSET 2018) in writing to the concerned Centre Superintendent.
- An amount of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) per day will be paid to the Scribe by the Centre Superintendent on the day of Examination for all the papers.
Entry of the candidate to the examination hall:
The candidates should report at the Examination Centre one hour before the commencement of examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre/hall after commencement of examination. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before 10:45 a.m. in the 1st session, 12:30 p.m. in the 2nd session and 4:30 p.m. in the 3rd session. No time Interval between I Session and II Session.
