TNPSC Assistant Geologist Selection Process:
The Selection Procedure of the Exam will be as follows:
- Written Examination – Objective Type (OMR Method)
- Oral Test
Centre for Examination:
Examination will be held at Chennai centre only.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Assistant Geologist Exam Details:
The selection will be made in two successive stages, viz. (i) Written Examination and (ii) an Oral Test in the form of an Interview. Based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination, candidates shall be admitted to Certificate Verification and oral test. Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and oral test taken together, subject to the rule of reservation of appointments, candidate shall be admitted to Counselling and Selection.
Scheme of Examination – Objective Type (OMR Method) and Oral Test:
(A) (For the post of Assistant Geologist in Geology and Mining Department, Ground water wing of Public Works Department (post Graduate standard)
Note:-
(i) The Questions in Paper-I will be set in English only.
(ii) The Questions in Paper – II will be set both in English and Tamil.
(iii) Refer para 17 of “Instructions to Applicants” in regard to instructions to be followed while appearing for competitive examinations conducted by the Commission.
(iv) The Syllabus for Examination is furnished in the Annexure III of the notification and also available in the Commission‟s website www.tnpsc.gov.in.
(B) (For the post of Assistant Geologist in Agricultural Engineering Department) (Under Graduate standard)
