Eligibility Criteria for SCAD KVK Thoothukudi Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Senior Scientist and Head – a) For Disciplines other than engineering subject Doctoral degree in Agriculture subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years experience in relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band –3 of `15600-39100 with Grade pay of `5400/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact b) For Engineering disciplines Doctoral degree in relevant Agriculture engineering subject with 6 years experience as Scientist /Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of `15600-39100 with grade pay of `5400/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research / teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovative and impact. OR c) Master’s degree in the relevant agriculture engineering subject with 10years experience as Scientist / Lecturer / Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band–3 of `15600-39100 with grade pay of `5400/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research / teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovative and impact.
2. Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) – Master’s degree in Agriculture (Plant Protection) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university
3. Subject Matter Specialist (Agriculture Extension) – Master’s degree in Agriculture (Agril. Extension) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university
4. Stenographer Grade III – 12th Class pass or equivalent from recognized Board/University. Professional Efficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at 80 w.p.m for 10 minutes. The candidates who opt to take the test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 10 minutes on computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Tamil will be required to transcribe the matter in 65 minutes on Computer

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit (a) for the post of Sr. Scientist & Head, the age should not exceed more than 47 years (b) for the post of Subject Matter Specialist the age should not exceed more than 35 years (c) Stenographer the age should be between 18 – 27 years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
