Eligibility Criteria for NIT Recruitment 2016
Educational Qualification:
- Registrar – Master‟s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade „B‟ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/Institute + At least 15 years of experience
- Deputy Registrar – Master‟s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade „B‟ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/Institute
- Executive Engineer – First class degree or equivalent grade in Engineering (Civil) from recognized University / Institute 5 years experience in relevant field as Engineer/Asst. Engineer
- Medical Officer – MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in General
- Superintendent / Accountant – First class (Hons) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent grade from a recognized University or Institute in any discipline(In universities without a system of Honors degree, equivalent number of courses) / First class Bachelor‟sDegree in Commerce with Honors in Accountancy/Financer equivalent in grade from a recognized University or Institute or Master‟s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with excellent academic record / Master‟s Degree in commerce /MBA (Finance) from a recognized University or Institute with excellent academic record.
- Technical Assistant – First Class Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree in science in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute or First class Diploma in engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record Or Post-graduate degree in science or B.E/B. Tech in relevant field from a recognized University or Institute.
- Technicians/Lab Asst./Lab Work Asst. – B.Sc. Degree Senior secondary (10+2) f r o m a r e ITI Course of 1 year or higher duration in appropriate trade.
Age Limit:
Candidate’s NIT Recruitment Age Limit Should not exceed (Post 1 – 57 Years), (Post 2 – 40 Years), (Post 3 – 45 Years), (Post 4 – 35 Years), (Post 5, 6 – 30 Years), (Post 7 – 37 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
