JPSC Civil Services Exam:

JPSC is going to conduct the written examination in the following cities. For JPSC Exam centers refer the official website. Candidates who have selected in Written Test are eligible for the next rounds. The JPSC Syllabus & Exam Pattern are important aspects of knowing the structure of the Written Test. JPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern:

The Exam pattern of JPSC Civil Services Exam has clearly mentioned on our website. The JPSC Civil Services Exam Paper has objective type question like General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Knowledge.

(i) General Studies Paper-I

General Studies Paper-I

Total Marks: 200                                                                                                                                     Time: 2 hours

This paper will consist of 100 objective type questions, each of 2 marks, drawn from the subjects listed below. Candidates will have to answer all the questions.

(A) History of India

  1. Ancient India (5 questions)
  2. Medieval India (5 questions)
  3. Modern India (5 questions)

(B) Geography of India:

  1. General Geography (3 questions)
  2. Physical Geography (3 questions)
  3. Economic Geography (2 questions)
  4. Social & Demographic Geography (2 questions)

(C) Indian Polity and Governance:

  1. Constitution of India (4 questions)
  2. Public Administration and Good Governance (4 questions)
  3. Decentralization: Panchayats & Municipalities (2 questions)

(D) Economic and Sustainable Development:

  1. Basic features of Indian Economy (4 questions)
  2. Sustainable Development and Economic issues (4 questions)
  3. Economic Reforms and Globalization (2 questions)

(E) Science & Technology:

  1. General Science (6 questions)
  2. Agriculture & Technology Development (6 questions)
  3. Information & Communication Technology (3 questions)

(F) Jharkhand Specific Questions (General Awareness of its History, Society, Culture & Heritage 🙂 10 Questions

(G) National & International Current Events: 15 Questions

(H) General Questions of Miscellaneous nature, not requiring subject specialization, such as: 15 Questions

Main examination (no optional subjects. All are common compulsory papers)

Paper-Ill: Social Sciences, having two distinct sections on (i) History (ii) Geography, each of equal weightage 3 hours 200 AS ABOVE
Paper-IV: Indian Constitution & Polity, Public Administration & Good Governance 3 hours 200 AS ABOVE
Paper-V: Indian Economy, Globalization and Sustainable Development 3 hours 200 AS ABOVE
Paper-VI: General Sciences, Environment Technology Development 3 hours 200 AS ABOVE

Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false and suppress any material information in filling up the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case correct or alter or otherwise temper with any entry in a document or its attested/certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy between two or more such documents or their attested/certified copies, an explanation regarding this discrepancy should be submitted. A candidate who is or has been declared to be guilty

(a) Obtaining support of his/her candidature by any means, or

(b) Impersonating, or

(c) Procuring impersonation by any person, or

(d) Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tempered with, or

(e) Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information, or

(f) Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the selection, or

(g) Using unfair means during the test, or

(h) Writing irrelevant matter including obscene language or pornographic matter, sketch in the script (s), or
(i) Misbehaving in any other manner in the examination hall, or

(U) Harassing or doing bodily harm to the staff employed for the conduct of their test, or

(k) Bringing mobile phone/communication device in the examination Hall/interview room.

(I) Attempting to commit or, as the case may be, abetting the Commission of all or any of the acts specified in the forgoing clauses may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution be liable:

(i) To be disqualified from selection for which he/she is a candidate, and/or

(ii) To be debarred either permanently or for a specified period:-

(iii) Canvassing in any form written or otherwise effecting examination process will disqualify a candidate.
