Educational Qualification:
| 1. Technical Assistant (Category II) Chemistry – Bachelor degree in Chemistry /Chemical Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate |
| 2. Technical Assistant (Category II) Biotechnology – Bachelor degree in Bio-technology with 60% marks in aggregate. |
| 3. Technical Assistant (Category II) Botany – Bachelor degree in Botany with 60% marks in aggregate. |
| 4. Technician (Category I) Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance – 12th standard in science with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board with at least one year ITI certificate in relevant trade or certificate course from a Government recognized Institute. Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance of wood working machine and hydraulic machines. |
| 5. Technician (Category I) Boilerman – Matriculation with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board with ITI certificate in relevant trade or Certificate course from a Government recognized Institute. |

IWST may follow the following process to select the candidates.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for IWST Technical Assistant:
– Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 400/- Application fee and Rs. 600/- Processing fee) through Demand Draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Director, Institute of Wood Science and Technology payable at Bengaluru. No other mode of payment of application fee is acceptable. The PH/Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
-The SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fee only against the reserved posts. However, the processing fee of Rs. 600/- has to be paid through Demand Draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Director, Institute of Wood Science and Technology payable at Bengaluru, by all the category candidates.

– Interested candidates may submit their applications to “The Director, ICFRE-Institute of Wood Science &Technology, 16`”Cross, Malleswaram, Bengaluru-560 003”. The last date of receipt of application is 30-10-2023. The last date of receipt of applications for candidates residing in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep will be 6-11-2023. Applications received after closing date will not be entertained under any circumstances. This Institute shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss during the postal transit. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be 30-10-2023.
– The application duly completed in all respects shall be submitted along with the self attested photocopies of certificates of educational and technical qualification, age proof, claim of belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.
