Eligibility Criteria for IIT Madras Vacancy 2021:

Educational Qualification:

1. Staff Nurse:

B.Sc. in Nursing with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA with 2 years of relevant experience (or) 3-year Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA with 5 years of relevant experience.

2. Assistant Security Officer:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with Military/Police/NCC/ Fire Fighting training and 6 years of relevant experience and able to ride light vehicle/Motorcycle.

3. Junior Superintendent:

Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science or Humanities including Commerce with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university with 6 years of administrative experience.

Desirable qualifications: Proficiency in use of computer office applications for creation of documents, presentations and spreadsheet applications.

4. Junior Engineer:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institution with 2 years of relevant experience. or Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institution with 5 years of relevant experience.

Essential qualification: The Applicant should have a Supervisor Competency Certificate (Electrical ‘C’ License for operating voltage of minimum 11kv).

5. Junior Assistant:

Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science or Humanities including Commerce with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with knowledge of computer operations for creation of documents, presentations and spreadsheet applications.

6. Junior Technician (Civil, Chemistry, Mechanical, ECE/E&I/EE, Biology / Life Science, Biotechnology / Biomedical, Physics):

Three year Diploma in relevant to the stream with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institution.

or

B.Sc. in relevant to the stream with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institution.

Or

Post SSLC with 2 year ITI course (Trades relevant to the stream) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institution with two years relevant experience.

Candidates desirous to apply for more than one stream should submit separate application for each stream.

7. Junior Technician (Maintenance) (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering):

Three year Diploma in Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institution.

or

Post SSLC with 2 year ITI course (Trades relevant to the stream) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institution with two years relevant experience.

Essential qualification for Electrical Engineering stream: The Applicant should have a Supervisor Competency Certificate (Electrical ‘C’ Licence for operating voltage of minimum 11kv).

8. Junior Technician (Telephones):

Three year Diploma in ECE/CSE or equivalent with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute.

9. Junior Library Technician:

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with M.Lib.Sc/M.L.I.S with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute.

Desirable: Proficiency in use of computer applications for creation of documents, presentations and spreadsheet applications.

10. Senior Technical Officer (Systems):

M.E./M.Tech. in CSE/ ECE/ IT/ Software Sciences or equivalent degree with 60% marks and above or an equivalent CGPA with 8 years of experience.

or

B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc in CSE/ ECE/ IT/ Software Sciences/MCA or equivalent degree with 60% marks and above or an equivalent CGPA with 10 years of experience in Senior Position in reputed Computer Organization.

11. Fire Officer:

B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 15 years of service in the relevant field in any State/Central Government organizations/ organization of high repute.

Desirable: Experience in Fire Fighting operations & system maintenance & operation of firefighting vehicles, handling safety-related jobs like incident/ accident reporting/ investigation analysis, safety inspection, job safety analysis, shutdown safety, construction safety, conducting safety meetings/ audits, conducting mock-drills, fire & safety training in a Petroleum Refinery/ upstream/ downstream industries/ fertilizers/ chemical plants/fire & rescue services.

12. Safety Officer:

Degree or Higher in Safety Engineering or BE/B.Tech in Engineering with Master in Safety Engineering/ Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 15 years of service in the relevant field in any State/Central Government organizations/ organization of high repute.

Desirable: Multi-disciplinary experience of 15 years as Safety Officer in handling workplace safety and accident prevention in large industry or research organization, with expertise in handling hazardous chemicals/biological safety and electrical safety. Knowledge of safety standards and ISO regulations as applicable to safety and compliance with safety regulations.

13. Security Officer:

Graduate in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 8 years of experience in Supervisory grade plus Fire Fighting training and able to ride light vehicle/Motorcycle. Desirable: Officers at the level of Deputy Superintendent of Police / Assistant Commandant or equivalent and Divisional Officer’s Course from NFSC/CISF or Central / State training centers or from reputed Institute/University.

14. Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Civil Engineering:

M.E/M.Tech in Civil Engineering branch with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 5 years of relevant experience

or

B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering branch with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 8 years of relevant experience.

Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Electrical Engineering: M.E/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering branch with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 5 years of relevant experience

or

B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering branch with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with 8 years of relevant experience.

Desirable qualification: The Applicant should have a Supervisor Competency Certificate (Electrical ‘C’ Licence for operating voltage of minimum 11kv).

15. Assistant Registrar:

Essential: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale with excellent Academic record.

Desirable:

i. Professional qualification in area of Management / Finance & Accounts.

ii. At least 8 years of relevant experience at supervisory level or equivalent post in Government/Government Research Establishments/ Universities/Statutory Organizations/ Government Organizations of high repute

iii. Knowledge in Computer Applications and Office Automation.

iv. Experience in handling Administrative/ Finance & Accounting / Academic / Legal / Audit / Stores & Purchase / Establishment matters.

Note: Diploma should be of 3 years course duration after 10 Std. The ITI certification should be of at least 2 years course after 10 Std. or its equivalent in the relevant areas only. Both the Diploma & ITI Certifications should be from institutes recognized by the Department of Technical Education (DOTE) of the concerned State Government / National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Equivalent qualification as advised by DOTE of the State Government will also be considered. Proof of equivalence to be provided.
