- Chemical Engineering – BE/ B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and preferably with one year working experience.
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering – BE/B.Tech in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering, M.Sc. (Electronics) and preferably with one year working experience.
- Physics – BE/ B.Tech/ MSc. in Physics / M.Sc in Electronic Science and preferably with one year working experience.
- Mathematics – B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology and preferably with one year experience
- Centre for Nanotechnology – BE/ B.Tech/ MSc. in Physics, Chemistry and preferably with one year working experience.

- Deputy Librarian – Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation, with at least 55% marks (relaxation of qualification for Reserved Category candidates as per GOI rules) or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and a consistently good academic record
Age Limit:
Candidate’s IIT Recruitment Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1to 8 – 35 years), (for Post 9 – 50 years The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
