Candidates either equal to 15 times the number of vacancies (1: 15) or those securing 30% and above marks in the English Language segment, to be decided by the High Court at an appropriate time, shall be called for Stenography test. The Assamese Language segment will be of qualifying nature and candidates securing at least 40% marks in the Assamese Language segment shall be treated as qualified.

Stenographer Grade-III
(i) Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary examination from any recognized Board/Council/University as on the date of advertisement. (ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from !TI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court. (iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam. B. Selection Process
