AFCAT Recruitment 2019 – Air Force Common Admission Test invites Online applications for recruitment of 242 Commissioned Officer Posts. This online facility will be available in the Official website www.afcat.cdac.in from 01.06.2019 to 30.06.2019. Prospective candidates will have to apply online after carefully reading the detailed advertisement regarding the process of examination, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, Syllabus,  How to Apply, Question Paper, issuance of admit cards/call letters, Exam Date, Result Date etc. and ensure that they fulfill the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

Allowances In addition to pay, allowances are applicable based on the nature of duty/ place of posting and it includes Flying, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance.

Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.

Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Final Year students are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any backlog at the time of AFSB Testing and produce Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement

Ground Duty (Technical)

Depending upon your stream of Engineering, you could join one of the sub branches of the Technical branch. Check the educational qualification required for the sub branches.

After completion of Engineering degree or while in your final year/semester of Engineering

For both Men and Women. Permanent Commission (for men) / Short Service Commission (For men and women)

Marks – Must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in any one of the listed disciplines.

Final year students are eligible to apply provided they do not have any present backlog at the time of SSB testing and they produce provisional/ original degree issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement.

NCC Air Wing Senior Division ’C’ certificate and validity of the certificate would be two years before the date of advertisement.

Meteorology Entry Post Graduation Degree in any science stream/Mathematics/Statistics/Geography/Computer Applications/Environmental Science/Applied Physics/Oceanography/Agricultural Meteorology/Ecology & Environment/Geo-physics/Environmental Biology. All candidates should have scored a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all papers of Post Graduation put together (provided Maths & Physics were studied at Graduation level with a minimum of 55% marks in both).

 

 

Age Limit:

Flying Branch 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2020 i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2000 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1994 to 01 July 2000 (both dates inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2020 i.e. born between 02 July 1994 to 01 Jul 2000 (both dates inclusive).

 

Salary Details:

Pay on Commissioning (As per 7th CPC)

Rank Pay as per Defence Matrix Level MSP
Flying Officer Rs. 56100 – 110700 10 Rs. 15500/-

Note. Flight Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during last one year of training.

Application Fee/Exam Fee: 

Online testing will be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centers. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- as examination fee. However, candidates registering for NCC Special entry are not required to pay. Details of conduct, examination centers and mode of payment are available in the notification.
